Ambassador witnessed the main structure completion of Afghan Embassy Project in Pakistan

The ceremony for the roof sealing atop the reinforced concrete main structures of Afghan Embassy in Pakistan was held at 1:00 p.m. on December 7 in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan.
 
H.E. Mr. Najibullah Alikhil, Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan, and other high-level officials; Chief Supervision Engineer, attended the ceremony.
 
Mr. Pan Zhengqiang, Deputy General Manager of ACEG Pak. Branch, accompanied Mr. Najibullah Alikhil and presided over the great event. With the symbolic completion of the final bucket of concrete poured in place, the Project as a whole has entered into the phase of secondary structural construction, decoration and mechanical and electrical equipment installation.
 
The Project of The Afghan Embassy in Pakistan, locates on the north side of Zhou Enlai Avenue in Islamabad, with a total construction area of 18,834.44 square meters, ACEG Pak. Branch is the contractor. Since September 2018 when the Project commenced, all the staff of the Project have overcome difficulties such as no municipal power supply, lack construction drawings, hot weather and excessive rain in rainy seasons, especially, the COVID-19 epidemic that broke out in early 2020,ACEG Pak. Branch has strictly implemented epidemic prevention and control measures and used chartered airplanes to pick up employees from China. And gridding method was adopted to manage the local staff and finally all the main structures works were completed.
 
Ambassador Najibullah Alikhil addressed the ceremony and congratulated all those present, he noted, the Afghan Embassy in Pakistan has been the largest so far in building areas among Afghan embassies and consulates abroad, ACEG Pak. Branch has risen to the challenge of the epidemic and successfully completed the milestone work of the main structures and this has once again proved that ACEG is a contractor of strength, commitment and prestige.
 
Mr. Pan Zhengqiang said that the successful completion of the main structures marked an important stage victory for the project and laid a solid foundation for the follow-up works, and all the staff of the project are committed to continue to fulfill their duties and live up to the expectations, keep the quality and safety and ensure handing over of the project as scheduled.
 
After the ceremony, Ambassador Najibullah Alikhil visited the construction site accompanied by Mr. Pan and they held a talk on issues of the work plan for the coming phase.
