From August 21 to 27, the 8th round of ACEG's BIM Technical Training Course was on in Lu'an City, southeast China’s Anhui province. Mr. Chen Gang, Director of ACEG Chief Engineer’s Office, attended the opening ceremony.
The training course of this round was planned and coordinated by the Party School of ACEG (also known as ACEG Education and Training Center) and co-organized by ACEG Chief Engineer's Office and the Human Resources Department. The 70 trainees, from the affiliated units, are either BIM technical mainstays who have participated in the previous rounds of ACEG's BIM technical training courses and passed the examinations, or those who are best qualified and highly skilled in BIM, admitted through recommendations.
During the 6-day training period, the tutor unit - Anhui Huazhu Zhicheng Construction Technology Co., Ltd., gave training courses on the application analysis of BIM technologies in the bidding stage and related operation skills of BIM technologies, such as BIM three-dimensional site layouts, material-making and animation productions. The training was on a full-time basis，the trainees concentrated on listening to the lectures in the daytime, and finished their homework carefully in the evening.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the foundation of digital transformation in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry，realizing better ways for working and better outcomes for businesses. This training course has stimulated the trainees' enthusiasms for studying BIM technologies and improved their application levels of BIM technologies in the bidding stage. At the same time, this training course has also provided a platform for the all the BIM experts of ACEG to exchange ideas, information and latest updates and technical supports of BIM technologies as well.
